Sue Carlin

• Field Hockey Coach@ Maine-Endwell HS (14 yrs.), and at Greene HS (15 yrs.)
• Overall Record of 415-108-22, 76% Winning Percentage
• Championship Teams: 5 New York State Titles, 14 NY Sect. IV Titles, 14 STAC Titles


Barb Cook

• Softball Pitcher @ Susquehanna Valley HS (Career Record: 117-13, 0.35 ERA)
• 3-Time NYS Player of the Year ( 1997 -1999)
• Played@ U-Conn., Big East Tournament Title & Most Outstanding Player (2001)


Gary Deuel

Mickey Greenberg

• Played Basketball at Harpur College (BU), Scored 1,013 Career Points, and Record 45 Points in one game
• Harpur College Athlete of the Year (1961-’62 and 1962-’63)
• Played on Washington Generals versus Harlem Globetrotters
• Coached Boys Basketball@ Vestal HS (Record of 246-146), Won NYS Sect. IV Titles (1994, 1996)
• Inducted into: NYSPHSAA Sect. IV HOF, Binghamton University HOF


Arthur Jones

• Played Football and Wrestled @ Union Endicott HS
• At UEHS – Senior Year had 64 Tackles, 6 Sacks, and led UEHS to NYSPHSAA Sect. IV Football Championship
• Played Football@ Syracuse University -All-Big East Conference 1st Team
• NFL – Played with Baltimore Ravens (Super Bowl Champions in 2012), Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Redskins


Alan Klumpp

• Played Football @ Windsor HS – Earned 16 Varsity Letters
• At Colgate University – Football Captain and Most Valuable Player (1969)
• Triple Cities Jets Semi-Pro Football -All-League (1970-’73)
• Inducted into: NYSPHSAA Sect. IV HOF, AFA Semi-Pro League Football HOF, Triple Cities Jets HOF
• Coached Multiple Sports at Deposit HS and Windsor HS


Ben Nelson

• 5 Sports Letterman@ Bainbridge HS in Baseball, Basketball, Football, Track & Field, and Volleyball
• Athletic Director and Coached Basketball @ Oxford Academy – Won NYSPHSAA Sect. IV Boys Class C and Girls Class B Championships
• As NYSPHSAA Section IV Executive Director, since 1998, he has been the catalyst for bringing many NYSPHSAA State Championships to Section IV area
• Inducted: NYSPHSAA Sect. IV HOF, Basketball Coaches Association of NY HOF


Margo Walsh Riddle

• Played Basketball@ Maine-Endwell HS, Member of 1979 Girls Basketball Team with 23-0 Record and who were STAC, NYSPHSAA Sect. IV, and NYS Regional Champions
• At Maine-Endwell HS – Earned 14 Varsity Letters in Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Field Hockey
• Played Basketball@ Duke University – 4 Years Letter Winner (1979-’82)

• Officiated High School and College NCAA D-I, II, Ill Women’s Basketball Games

• Binghamton University – Named NYS’ Top D-III Soccer Team (1982 &” 1987)
• Named New York State Coach of the Year ( 197 4)
• President of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (1982-’83)
• Inducted into: University of Rochester Athletics HOF, BU Athletics HOF, NSCAA National Soccer HOF


Joseph “Gentlemen Joe” Taylor

• Professional Middleweight Boxer -·Record of 39-15-2-4, 32% KO’s (1947-1954)
• Ranked 9th in World’s Middleweight Division (1949)
• Fought for World’s Middleweight Title versus Champion Jack LaMotta in a controversial losing decision ( 1950)
• Fought in Yankee Stadium versus Artie Towne (1949)
• Played Football, Basketball, and Track & Field@ Binghamton HS


Karl D. Thornton

• Track & Field, Football, & Basketball (Varsity Letters)@ Binghamton Central HS
• In Track & Field at BCHS was Team Captain and Set School Records in 440 with a time of 51.0
• At University of Penn, Set 14 School Records in 880, Mile, 2-Mile, DMR, SMR, 4×880, 4×1 Mile and All IVY Awards (1970, 1971)
